The Scottish Centre for Regeneration works to help improve the effectiveness of people and organisations trying to promote community regeneration of the most deprived neighbourhoods, through improvements in employability, education, health, access to local services and quality of the local environment.
The Centre works to support those involved in community regeneration to improve their effectiveness by identifying:
· what works and what doesn’t work and supporting them to put this into practice · new approaches to community regeneration and supporting them to implement these · the skills needed and supporting them to obtain these
This one day event explored some of the key elements of and current priorities for community regeneration. In addition, the event provided an opportunity to:
