Connecting People in Community Regeneration… Scottish Centre for Regeneration
Launch of Learning in Regeneration The Radisson, Argyle Street, Glasgow Tuesday 29 November 2005
The Scottish Centre for Regeneration in partnership with learndirect scotland has launched the Learning in Regeneration Support Pack.
This pack has been designed to support skills development for all those working within community regeneration irrespective of role, background and profession and has generated significant interest both within Scotland and across the UK.
This pack has been developed as a result of extensive research and testing and follows on from an initial piece of research carried out by the University of Glasgow that led to the development of the skills framework for community regeneration.
The resultant Learning in Regeneration pack is now flexible enough to support the learning needs of everyone involved in community regeneration, as well as encouraging a greater long term commitment to learning from individuals and their organisations.
The launch outlined the journey taken to date to develop the pack, highlighted the benefits of using the pack and covered in detail the help that will be offered to support the introduction and effective use of the learning packs across Scotland.
Copies of the pack are now available from the learndirect scotland helpline on 0845 6000 111. These events are supported by the Scottish Centre for Regeneration and The Scottish Executive
